March Cigar Club Cigars Are In
I Guess We Are Just That Lucky!
With Saint Patrick’s Day just around the corner, Luke, our certified tobacconist and cigar aficionado, has picked us some luck-inspired cigars. Both come from Alec Bradley Cigar Co. and for those of you who already know and love them, they are an anticipated release every year.
Alec Bradley Shamrock
The Shamrock in Irish culture is a symbol of good luck, and don’t we cigar smokers know that relaxing with our favorite drink and a cigar takes away our worries? This fun barber shop pole cigar embodies that luck with tobacco originating from Honduras. The wrapper is made of three different styles to give you three colors. The green is the signature of the filthy hooligan; the Honduran Candela, the tan is Nicaraguan Habano tobacco, and the dark brown is Nicaraguan Oscura. The binder is Honduran Sumatra, and the filler blends Honduran Jamastran and Panama Valley tobaccos. These tobaccos express themselves as green tea, pepper, leather, spice, and toasted nut flavors.
Alec Bradley Black Market Filthy Hooligan
This cigar is a release that fans wait for every year! The Filthy Hooligan was originally created to celebrate the onset of spring, which is why this cigar also features the Honduran Candela wrapper as part one of the barber pole design. Part two is the Nicaraguan Oscura. The Black Market Filthy Hooligan doesn’t include the third tobacco that is a part of the shamrock, therefore making it slightly darker than its brother. As it has the candela, it too features that signature green tea flavors and the Oscura brings in notes of pepper, chocolate, and charred wood.
Well… Aren’t You Lucky Too?
If you answered that question with a firm “no” or because we are from the south, “hail no” then here’s an Irish proverb for you: “Wherever you go and whatever you do, may the luck of the Irish be there with you.” These cigars definitely help wrangle in that luck that we all need!
