Summer, Sand & A Drink In Hand

Summer. A time that every soul looks forward to for sunshine and lake time. It is a celebration of school ending, vacationing, and making memories. We’ve curated a selection of five refreshing summer cocktails, each paired with a perfect cigar from our humidor and delightful food from our menu, so you can enjoy the much-needed break from life’s go-go-go’s.

Cocktail #1 → Jameson Green Tea

You might recognize this one from our Spring cocktail additions. It was such a hit! We rolled it on over into the summer to keep the good times flowing! It’s a smooth blend of Jameson Irish whiskey, peach schnapps, house-made sour mix, and Sprite. It is then garnished with a fresh lemon. If you haven’t had it this is a mush try! This cocktail pairs beautifully with our garlic lemon shrimp. This starter dish comes with jumbo shrimpies in a lemon butter garlic sauce with fresh arugula and toasted baguette slices. These two together create a light, citrusy, and utterly refreshing experience. You can also try this cocktail with the Havana Honey cigar. The sweet honey flavor of this cigar perfectly complements this citrusy peach drink.

Cocktail #2 → Passion Fruit Paloma

Our Passion Fruit Paloma, features El Trago tequila, passion fruit liqueur, lemon juice, and grapefruit juice. It offers an exotic twist on the classic Paloma. We suggest pairing this tangy yet fruity cocktail with our baked chevre. A warm cheese dip topped with a blackberry balsamic compote. You can also pair this tropical delight with the Punch Golden Era cigar. With this smooth light bodied cigar, you’ll find a perfect balance of flavors that enhance each other wonderfully.

Cocktail #3 → Dragonfruit Margarita

For those who love a vibrant and fruity drink, the Dragonfruit Margarita is a must-try. This one is one of our absolute favorites. It’s made with tequila, orange liqueur, house-made sour mix, and dragonfruit syrup. It is served with a black salt rim and fresh lime, and delivered to you in a smoking lantern that makes this cocktail a visual and flavorful treat. Complement it with our What the Fig pizza. Served on cauliflower crust with fig preserves, crunchy prosciutto, brie cheese, and fresh arugula. The Tatiana Delight would also make an excellent pairing. These cigars which we’ve newly added to our cigar collection are smooth and sweet with some darker expressions such as earth and leather.

Cocktail #4 → Isla del Alcalde

The Isla del Alcalde or Mayor’s Island cocktail brings a decadent twist to our Mayor’s Quorum old-fashioned. A delish stir of Cane Rock rum, Aquavit, maple syrup, black walnut bitters, Luxardo cherry, and an orange peel. This rich and complex drink pairs perfectly with a La Aurora Cameroon, known for its flavors of cedar, cinnamon, and sweet cocoa. You should also try this cocktail with our filet mignon. The savory steak, creamy potatoes, and sweet balsamic reduction add a wonderful depth to this drink.

Cocktail #5 → White Wine Spritzer

Finally, we have our White Wine Spritzer, made with Silverado Chardonnay, club soda, and Sprite. It is then garnished with fresh lemon and lime, and is the ultimate light and bubbly refreshment for a hot summer day. Paired with the light and creamy Oliva connecticut, which offers notes of cedar, nuts, and a touch of vanilla. Our caprese salad is another exceptional pairing as this combination is a delightful way to enjoy the crisp and refreshing notes of summer.

On July 17, our Cohiba Cigar Dinner promises an evening of fine dining and premium cigars, with a special menu curated to pair perfectly with Cohiba cigars. On July 25, our monthly Cigar & Spirit Tasting event will offer a variety of cigars and spirits to sample, with expert guidance to help you discover new favorites. You don’t want to miss our Wine Club Wednesday Dinner on August 7, 2024, an exclusive event for our wine club members featuring a specially selected menu and wine pairings. Then of course we have our Sip & Cinema, a movie under the stars event on August 13th, where you can enjoy the magic of the movies but with gourmet popcorn and drinks!
