We’ve got an all-new Vineyard Exclusive whiskey barrel pick! This barrel comes from Starlight Distillery in Borden, Indiana. The name “Starlight” is a commemoration to the forefather of Starlight Distillery, Simon Huber. He moved to Starlight, Indiana in 1843, which was the wine and brandy capital of the whole country. Starlight Distillery was a huge contributor to the change of legislation in Indiana to allow whiskey to be produced. In 2013 they were the first distillery in the state to produce whiskey. Now, we get to have our very own barrel from them!

Our exclusive Starlight Barrel is 120-proof or 60% ACV. I know you’re probably thinking, “My god that’ll light my insides on fire!” However, we can tell you that this is actually a light-bodied whiskey. This barrel has a mash bill that is 99% corn and the rest is barley with a 9-year age statement. Though it might start a little hot for those who don’t normally drink whiskey, put it on some ice, and you’ll get lovely notes of vanilla, honey, and butterscotch. Overall, Starlight Vineyard Barrel is very smooth for a 120-proof whiskey.
