Welcome racers, smokers, and libationists! I am happy to announce that Vineyard Market’s October Cigar Society selections are in. This month we will be featuring the CAO cigar company. CAO is known for its procurement of tobaccos from around the world: Honduras, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic which we all know and love, but they also have found tobaccos from The Amazon and Columbia. Their motto: Where tobacco grows, CAO goes!

 

CAO Flathead V23

The newest release in the Flathead series! This series is a tribute to muscle cars. You’ve got the V770 big block, V642 Piston, V660 Carb, V554 Camshaft, and the V450 Sparkplug followed by the cigar you get to light up and enjoy this month. The V23 is in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans race. This race along with the Monaco Grand Prix and Indianapolis 500 form the Triple Crown of Motorsport. In tradition with the Flathead series the V23 is box pressed and comes in a car part inspired box. The V23 is GT inspired as a throwback to the V8 engine that won the first Le Mans 100 years ago. This medium to full bodied cigar features a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and a filler blend of Brazilian, Honduran, and Nicaraguan tobaccos. Pour your favorite Oktoberfest or Rye and enjoy the flavors of chocolate, raisin, and leather along with an earthy nuttiness that brings it all together.

 

CAO Session

A cigar made to be smoked for any occasion. A medium to strong bodied cigar whose wrapper totally tricks you into thinking this is going to be a: knock your socks off, strong, full bodied pepper bomb, but it isn’t! The wrapper is Connecticut Broadleaf, but it goes through a secret post-fermentation process that darkens its color and deepens its flavor. This is followed by the Dominican binder, and the filler is a blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos. This cigar features earthy notes of hickory followed by chocolate nuttiness and cinnamon before finishing on a black pepper.
