September Cigar Club Cigars Are In!
A Series of Small Fires
Hello! I’m so excited to share the September selection for the Vineyard’s Cigar Society! We have three amazing cigars, hand-chosen by Luke Davis, to look at today! Each special in its own right, either a fan favorite, brand new blend, or a limited edition, to make each a must-add to your humidor!
Smoke ’em one by one
1) Arturo Fuente Double Chateau
Everyone in the cigar world knows of Arturo Fuente cigars. The family has been making cigars for over 100 years now with a reputation for quality taste and construction of their cigars. The Double Chateau Natural is no different, and a total fan favorite. An easy mild smoke for all times of day was hand-rolled in the Dominican Republic. This wonderful cigar was made with Dominican tobacco filler and binder from the Chateau Fuente fields, then wrapped up in a Connecticut Shade. After it’s aged, each cigar is hand-wrapped in a cedar tube. All this brings out the flavors of smooth light cream and vanilla, with a touch of earth, spice, and nutty notes.
2) Partagas Valle Verde
This brand new release from Partagas Cigar Company that comes from the fields of Valle Verde (a.k.a. Green Valley), Mexico. These fields stretch up 4,000 miles above the sea level of the Gulf of Mexico; this introduces the tobacco to a cooler climate, a longer rainy season, and volcanic soil. This cigar’s filler is a blend of Mexican San Andreas and Nicaraguan tobaccos, followed by Partagas’ signature Cameroon binder, then all wrapped up in San Andreas Natural. Overall, this cigar is a well-balanced blend of sweet and spice. The wrapper brings earthy, sweet, cocoa notes, whereas the binder and filler give it subtle spiciness and a touch of black pepper.
3) EP Carrillo Platinum Bash
This limited-release cigar was in celebration of Ernesto Perez-Carillo Jr.’s 70th Birthday! Last year, three blends were made and sent out at EP Carillo events around the world, and the favorite of the consumers is the EP Carillo Platinum Bash. This special cigar has a Mexican San Andreas wrapper, Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, and a blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos as the filler. A medium to full smoke that has flavors of cocoa, pepper, a mocha sweetness, and an earthy note that makes this cigar an absolute delight.
