Fun Fact: Ernesto is known as the “Godfather of Boutique Cigars” for his pioneering role in the boutique cigar movement, creating small-batch, high-quality cigars that cater to discerning aficionados.

My Father Cigars, the company behind the Nestor Miranda Grand Reserve 2024, is a family-owned business founded by José “Pepin” Garcia. Originally from Cuba, Pepin is a master blender with decades of experience in the cigar industry. The company was established in 2003 and has since become renowned for producing some of the finest cigars in the world.

Located in Estelí, Nicaragua, My Father Cigars is known for its meticulous attention to detail and high-quality craftsmanship. The company’s portfolio includes many award-winning cigars, each showcasing the rich flavors and impeccable construction that have made My Father Cigars a favorite among enthusiasts.

Fun Fact: The name “My Father Cigars” was chosen by Pepin’s son, Jaime Garcia, as a tribute to his father and their shared passion for cigar making.

 

A Closer Look at Nestor Miranda

Nestor Miranda, the man behind the Nestor Miranda Cigar Company, has an equally compelling story. Originally from Cuba, Nestor immigrated to the United States, where he built a successful career in the tobacco industry. In 1989, he founded Miami Cigar & Company, which became known for its high-quality cigars and innovative blends.

The Nestor Miranda Grand Reserve line, first released in 2011, quickly became a favorite among cigar enthusiasts. Known for its limited production and exceptional craftsmanship, the Grand Reserve series embodies the passion and dedication that Nestor brings to his work.

Fun Fact: Nestor Miranda is often credited with helping to popularize the box-pressed cigar shape, which is now a staple in the industry.

 

Summer Sun Somethings Begun

We know this feeling well, and we are here to help. We’ve got some exciting events coming up, so you can meet and mingle with fellow cigar lovers. 

• Cigar & Spirit Tasting: August 29th
  • This event will be featuring E.P. Carillo Cigars and Horse Soldier Distillery
• Poker Night: September 23rd
  • This event takes place on a Monday night so we are closed to the public. Buy-in for the event is $40 in cigars, once you’ve gotten your cigars those go in the pot in exchange for your chips. 1st Place wins 50% of the pot! 2nd place gets 30% of the pot, and 3rd place gets 20% of the pot.
• Camacho Cigar & Bourbon Dinner: October 1st
  • If you were able to join us for the Cohiba Dinner, then you’ll be so excited to know we are doing it again, but with Camacho Cigars. Join us for great food, bourbon, and of course cigars where you will get to meet with Jack Heyer Brand Ambassador of Camacho Cigars.
